Updated: Aug 11, 2019
Get ready to fall in love with the lashes you were born with.

Now that you’ve booked your experience, what is the next step in your lash
journey?
1. Schedule your patch test. We highly recommend scheduling a patch test to
check for any sensitivities to the Elleebana or Belmacil products we use
during a lash lift & tint. Please schedule no less than 24 hours prior to your
lash lift & tint.
2. Get clean! You will not be able to get your beautiful new lashes wet for 24
hours, please plan ahead and shower before you appointment.Additionally we
recommend not exposing them to steam or drastic humidity changes for 24
hours following your service.
3. Prebook your next lift, in order to ensure we are able to best accommodate
you we recommend booking your next appointment as soon as possible using
our online system. We recommend booking your next lift 6-8 weeks following
your last service.
4. Read our FAQ's. If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate
to contact us via phone or email.

FAQ's about Lash Lifts
Can I wear makeup to my appointment?
No. In order to get you the most beautiful lashes Connecticut has to offer, we
ask that you arrive free of makeup in your eye area. This allows us to focus
more time on your service, than cleaning your lashes. We still clean before
every service, but the less time we need to spend doing it, the more time we
can spend making your lashes beautiful. It is best if you can skip mascara and
eyeliner the day before your appointment as well.
Can I wear contacts?
No. For safety reasons we will ask you to please remove your contacts during
your service. Please bring your case and contact solution to your
appointment.
Can I get my face wet after my appointment?
No. To give your lift the best longevity please wait 24 hours before getting
your lashes wet, this also includes exposing your lashes to steam or humidity
changes.
Can I use my lash serum with my lash lift?
Yes. Please do not use any lash serums 48 hours prior to any service.
What should I bring with me to my appointment?
Yourself! That's it! We recommend bringing headphones, many guests enjoy
listening to their favorite music, book or podcast during their service. Most
clients fall asleep during their service. If you have booked with Executive
Artist,Cam please bring socks for the massage chair.
May I bring guests with me to my appointment?
At Connecticut Lash Co. we strive to provide a private one on one
environment for you and your artist. If you have a friend, significant other, or
spouse who would like to come with you, they may do so but please keep in
mind many of our clients sleep during their appointments, and we try to keep
conversation to a minimum since we don't want your eyes to move too much
during your service. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted during
services. Please see our policies page for more information.
What Mascara should I use with my lashes?
If you feel the need to add mascara to your newly lifted lashes, please
wait 24 hours to do so! We highly recommend using Grande Mascara or
Arbonne Speak Volumes Mascara. We carry both in the salon. Grande
Mascara has peptides that encourage lash growth. If you opt to use
another brand, please make sure it is not waterproof and it is water
based. Using wax or paraben based mascaras can weigh down the
lashes shortening the life of your lift.
How often do I need to come in for lifts?
Depending on your hormone levels and aftercare every 6-8 weeks. Most
clients book for every 7 weeks.
How long does the service take?
About 45-60 minutes.
I think my lashes are too short for a lift, what should I do?
We hear this all the time, most of my clients think they have short
lashes, but you actually don't. Even clients with short lashes, find a lash
lift valuable, as it makes their natural lashes look longer. This is also a
great time to get started on a lash serum, speak with your artist for more
details.
Does it hurt?
NO! You should not experience any burning, or irritation from a lash lift
or tint.
What’s the difference between lash extensions and lifts?
Elleebana One Shot Lash Lifts are a semi permanent curl to your natural
lashes, lash extensions are applying false lashes on top of your natural
lashes. Lash Lifts last about twice as long as extensions, and require no
