Mega Volume, Lash Lather, Spoolie, What Does It All Mean?


We have all been there, you're sitting the chair and your artist starts explaining after care or consulting with you on your new lashes; and it seems like she is speaking some foreign beauty language, fear not, we are here to decode all things lashes! As always, if your artist says something that is a bit confusing, don't hesitate to ask! Let's get into it.


Classic = 1:1,Lashes applied in a manner of one false lash adhered to one natural lash.

NL= Natural Lash

Hybrid = A combination of Volume & Classic Lashes

Volume = A style of lashes where multiple lightweight lashes are applied to one natural lash.

Mega Volume = A style of lashes where up to 15 very lightweight lashes are applied to one natural lash.

Spoolie = A brush used to comb the lashes.

Cat Eye = A lash style where the longest lashes are applied to the outer corners of the eye.

Doll/ Open Eye = A lash style where the longest lashes are placed in the center of the eye.

Lash Lather = A name for a lash shampoo.

Isolation = Separating the lashes, so only one natural lash is exposed.

Fill = An upkeep appointment for your lashes, typically 2-4 weeks from your last service.

Full Set = A brand new set of lashes, for someone who has no false lashes adhered to their natural lashes.

Eye Bra = A 3D eye mask with small cups for your eyes to protect your lashes in your sleep.
