There are 3 keys to great retention, cleanliness of your lashes, product use and daily activities. Your lashes are instantly oilproof & waterproof. Please DO NOT be afraid to get your lashes wet.

1. Cleanliness of your lashes

- Try to avoid using mascara or eyeliner a day before your service

- Clean your lashes before coming in, the cleaner the lashes are the better the adhesive will work.

- Clean your lashes daily, after exercise, and before and after use of saltwater.

Cleansing with CleanLASH

1. Rub your lash spoolie on a cleanLASH pad, you should see the oily residue

2. Brush your lashes, with the spoolie

3. That's it!

Cleansing with Lash Shampoo

1. Gather a microfiber towel, lash shampoo, clean makeup brush, and water.

2. Remove the lid of your lash shampoo and fill with water, pour the water over your lashes.

3. Apply lash shampoo to your makeup brush, and make small circular motions on your lash line.

4. Refill the lid with water and rinse your lashes.

5. Blot your lashes with the microfiber towel. Repeat on the other eye.

2. Product Use

- Refrain from using products that contain polypropylene glycol & polypropylene carbonate. These ingredients are also listed as PPG/PPC in products. These are the only two chemicals known to break down Novalash Adhesive.

- Your face is very vascular, even if you stop using a product near your eyes but continue to use it on other areas of your face it can still cause retention issues.

- Refrain from using Mascara or gel eyeliner.

3. Daily Activities

- Refrain from lighting cigarettes, cigars, etc. near your lashes. Your lashes are made of high quality synthetic fibers which can singe when closely exposed to high heat.

- Be careful around ovens, open fires, barbecues and other sources of open flames to prevent your lashes from being singed.

- Using a small amount of castor oil on your lashes will help rubberize the adhesive and reactivate the bonding agent to create better retention.

- Avoid sleeping on your lashes to create even lash shed, consider purchasing a 3D sleep mask or satin pillow case.

-Hormones in your emotional tears can break down the bonding agent in the adhesive. Your lashes are too expensive to lose to tears!

- Avoid using cotton tips on your lashes, cotton will catch on your lashes, instead use microfiber swabs or disposable lipstick applicators.

- Avoid using makeup remover wipes near your lashes, the cotton will pull on your lashes.
